He was under investigation. He was reactive. He was surrounded by people who\u2014whatever you think about Donald Trump, he\u2019s not stupid when it comes to reading people\u2014he understood that many of them had contempt for him and thought that he was dangerous and whatever. So I think it was just generally a stressful, unpleasant experience. This time around, he comes in with a sweeping immunity decision from the Supreme Court and with, especially last year, total command over his own party.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<template><br \/>\n<iframe frameborder=\"no\" height=\"200\" loading=\"lazy\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"\" title=\"Does Trump Enjoy the Presidency?\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<\/template><\/p>\n<div><noscript><br \/>\n<\/noscript><\/div>\n<p>View Transcript\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI suppose there\u2019s a little here and there in the Senate now, but last year\u2026 We haven\u2019t seen a president command his own party\u2014force them to do things they don\u2019t want to do\u2014like Donald Trump did last year. We haven\u2019t seen that before. He\u2019s richer than he\u2019s ever been. His family\u2019s making just inordinate sums of money from the presidency. He\u2019s using power in the ways that he wants to without much pushback. He\u2019s entirely surrounded by flatterers. He\u2019s basically housebound. He doesn\u2019t really travel around. He\u2019s not really doing events. He goes from people flattering him in the Oval Office to people on the Mar-a-Lago patio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/homemovechronicle.com\/?p=440\">By the People<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s sitting there with his iPad playing Pavarotti and James Brown and having people come up to the table telling him he\u2019s the greatest president ever, a world historic figure, all the rest of it. What\u2019s not to like? He\u2019s got a new jet from the Qataris. Now it\u2019s never enough for Donald Trump, so I don\u2019t think he\u2019s in a state of constant bliss. He\u2019s still frustrated and gets angry about stuff and whatever. But I think generally speaking, for someone who\u2019s completely addicted to both power and attention, this is as close to a dose of pure crack as you can get.
